Pinch and a punch for the first of the month and all that.
OMG, we're leaving for Asheville NEXT WEEK.
I'm getting collywobbles.
What if everybody hates me?
*Twitch*
Yes, I'm a worrier. Or, to put another way, a panicker.
OK, calm down. Calm. Down.
(OMGOMGOMG)
In other news, I'm working on a new, original story that I'm hoping is going to wind up novel length. Provided that it does, I'm going to submit it to agents and whathaveyou. Thus far it's going pretty well;
arrys_girlie has been reading the bits and pieces I've written so far and says it doesn't suck. I assume she would tell me if it did.
I've had a couple of ideas bouncing around in my head for a while regarding vet nurses, the Animal Rights community in the UK (and, it must be said, elsewhere) that get so out of hand, and trying to put them together in a way that might make people think. And shake them up a bit. And this is where I have to make a confession...
navigatorsghost answered a question I set her about a novel - and made the comment: ...the hero gets the glory and the monster gets the girl...
And boom, there it was in my head. Only there isn't a hero - except, of course, unless you count the main character, a genetically engineered super-soldier/astronaut/slave called Mandrake. Yes, perhaps that idea is a bit hackneyed. But I like to think I've given the story a bit of a different spin...
So yes. Sorry Rathie. But I owe you one yet again!
OMG. Less than a week to Asheville. (Well, this time next tuesday we'll be leaving for the hotel where we'll be spending the night before hitting the airport.) OMFG!
