Maiden tomorrow! It's going to be bloody awesome, we have seats so I won't be getting the bejesus kicked out of me down the front and it's just going to kick seven shades of ass.
Of course, anxiety is kicking my ass hard. *Sigh*
Immediately after the Maiden gig, we're heading down to Dover and getting a ferry across to France, then driving to the Rosrock festival in Rossum, Holland. Well. Slay's driving....
Seeing Zico, staying in a hotel, coming home Monday. Yes I'm looking forward to it but argh, criminey, if the anxiety would just give me a break I'd enjoy it a lot more. *Sigh*
( However, this picture cheered me up immensely! )

Just got back from seeing Wednesday 13 at the zodiac. Surprisingly good, actually. Both support bands excellent and I fell in love with the first band's lead singer. She's tiny and gorgeous and sings like a furious angel. I told her their set was cool and she smiled at me.
Second support band - Sign, they're called - come from Iceland. From the same place Bish lives. We saw their drummer, bassist and one of their guitarists in a bar band the last time we were in Hafnarfjordur (sp?). Heh. They're awfully good.

In two minutes I will be 37. Go me.

glammetalkitten which was lots of fun - so cool having someone to squee with! - and one of the chaps we hung out with on the last BruceAir trip recognised us and came tanking over. He hung out with us for the rest of the gig, and that was wicked cool too. :D
Got Slay to agree to hang out behind the venue for a bit to see if we could catch up with the band - we failed, but it was fun watching someone else load out for a change!
Pimped Zico a lot. :D A suprising number of people had heard of them, but not heard the music. I advised them to do so.
Oh, and we met up withanpusat! I forgot to tell her how much I'd enjoyed her RFP novel, but I'm sure we'll bump into her again sometime. ;) *Waves*
And now it's almost 3am and I'm at work, so 'tis bedtime...

Had a great time sunday visiting glammetalkitten, even if we were ignored by rockstars (*pfah*) and sneered at by their girlfriends. Who all look the same. I reckon they get the bloody things mail order.
(Oh, and I fell in lust with a bassist - who,arrys_girlie thinks, looks like my beloved Dirk! She actually has a point...)
AND I've just posted another chapter of Journeyman. Am now on the last one, the epilogue being nine tenths written already. The damn thing laid dormant for a year then, with a good poke fromrdyfrde, arrys_girlie and some fairly constant quiet under-the-table nagging from rockfic took off like a sodding rocket and won't shut up.
Can't wait to get it finished. And then never look at the flippin' thing again!
Best of all? Off to part-ay withrathenar tomorrow after work! Gonna be fun. Gonna stay on the boat. Gonna get very lost driving round Cambridge in the fog....

silicondreams next month, not to mention seeing Gamma Ray, Helloween and Def Leppard at the Gods of Metal festival in Milan in June with her. Yep, another Adventure laden summer stretches before me, no matter what happens with my accursed marriage.And the little man has been and laid the latex screed on the kitchen floor, so me, Axl and the cats are all currently stoned on the fumes. Bonus.
