Barclay got a new food item for breakfast; on Saturday we went up to World Of Water (local aquatic shop) and I bought him a load of new foods. Frozen and gamma irradiated, they're absolutely brilliant. So this morning he had chopped cockle, and did he like it? Well, he stuffed his beaky little face and then hunted round for more, so that's a resounding yes.

(I bought chopped cockle, chopped mussel, tubifex, bloodworm and whole fish. It's frozen into cubes and really easy to handle.)

Doris has been glaring, so she got her mice for breakfast; she's now curled up in front of her heat mat with a satisfied look on her face, and Sam is stomping round his viv in outrage. I suspect he rather enjoys the eat-the-damn-mouse-no-shan't game we play...

(Me: Eat the mouse, Sam

Sam The Bastard: No, shan't.

Me: Eat. The. Mouse. *Twitches it over his head*

STB: No. *Tries to dive out past me*

Me: EAT THE DAMN MOUSE.

STB: Shan't. *Hides under rock*

Me: Bastard. *Leaves mouse in front of his nose*

STB: Ew. *Ignores it*)

However, he can just flipping well wait until Thursday, when Doris-the-fatso will get her next feed and he's hungry enough to actually eat what I give him.

I need to book Jack Sparrow in to the vet - his teeth are hurting again, I think. Dental time. *Sigh* That'll be another couple of hundred quid off down the damn swanee.

Kribs have still not had babies. It's either because they're a very young pair (and thus not fertile yet), or the kuhli loaches are sneaking in at night and eating the eggs. It's very frustrating. I must try and get a photo of the male, though; he's a beautiful beast when he flares his fins at me, reflective golds and lavenders and reds and blues in his fins and chocolate brown stripes down his sides. Handsome beast!

Get In The Ring is tomorrow! Saw a blog post from Turisas this morning and thought oh nooooooooooo, they'll have bloody cancelled or something. Apparently not, though; the post was to say that all the Turisas allocation of tickets have been claimed, so there'll be plenty of us to whoop and scream for the Battle Metal boys.

Although, from what I can see of the people responding to their MySpace blogs, it'll be mostly women. Should be amusing.

A million thanks once more to the absolutely fabulous [livejournal.com profile] glammetalkitten who responded above and beyond the call of duty and slogged along to the Astoria to get my tickets. *SMOOCH* I owe you Firefly fic. Am working on it, promise.

So things to do today:

1 - Muck out the ferrets.

2 - Muck out the fish.

3 - Dye my hair.

4 - Go into town to buy hair dye. (Will have to do 4 before 3.)

5 - Work out what I'm going to wear tomorrow. Boots and Cleavage Of Doom ahoy!!!

6 - Try and get a couple of thousand words down on the Biffno thing, because I doubt I'll get anything done tomorrow.

That ought to keep me busy!
