How did you choose your alias?

Easy. Andy is a shortened version of my name, Mad for obvious reasons. And it's easy for me to remember. I use it pretty much everywhere because I really doubt anyone would bother to track me down! Where I don't use this one I use BassFerret, because it combines two things I'm very fond of.

What fandoms do you write for?

All bandfic right now, Iron Maiden, Gamma Ray, Helloween, Blind Guardian, Edguy are the current ones. Have written Metallica and Leppard - wouldn't mind doing so again. Also write some stuff in the Anita Blake world, and some X Men (movieverse).

What fics are you currently working on?

Right now this minute I'm hitting No World Order with something heavy. It's sort of working. I've also got open the files for the Dirk/Kai I'm working on, a Lordi fic, and arrys_girlie's newest that I'm editing.

What fandom did you start in?

X Men Movieverse, Logan/Rogue.

What is your deepest darkest fic-writing secret?

I actually have two. The only one I'm willing to share is that I'd love to know what the bands I write about think of my writing - except Leppard, I already know what they think of bandfiction. But the others...particularly Bruce and Kai, the ones I think would 'get' it...yeah. *Sigh* Would I ever do anything about it? Very, very unlikely.

Do you have any quirks/habits in your writing?

Hmm. Apart from the fact that you can tell which bandmember I'd most like to bonk because all sorts of awful things tend to happen to them...I dunno, do I? (Except the scene with Lars from StA, I did that just because I could. *Snort*)

Do you have any fanfiction pet peeves?

The way OCs are written. And bad grammar. And bad spelling. And what really pisses me off is when a writer doesn't give a story their best - just sits back and goes, ok done. Isn't willing to go back and hit it and hit it until it's the very best it can be. Yes. Hate that.

Do you have an OTP?

Not really. I very much like Bruce/Steve...but have paired them both off with others.

If you could get someone to write a fic for you right now, who would it be?

I'd love to see m_jules write bandfic! *Laughs* But we like pretty different music, so I don't know. I want to see rdyfrde's updated fic, and Lucy's magnum opus, and silicondreams's next one. And...yeah. More Power metal fic! Generally.

It's too fucking hot. When I woke up to get rid of the duvet and steal Dave's sensible sheet, I got tangled up in my duvet, body pillow and all that gubbins... and wrenched my back.

Flinging it all across the room wasn't enough to appease my back, so I'm going to be upright and awake until everything stops twanging like knicker elastic. And still boiling hot.

I am now fully supportive of Dave's plan to put aircon in the bedroom.

Fuck no! I love it. You give the narrator a really strong voice, even when the story isn't in "I" mode. In fact, I remember some stories as "I" even though they were "he/she" because their voice has been so strong.
