Had a great time sunday visiting glammetalkitten, even if we were ignored by rockstars (*pfah*) and sneered at by their girlfriends. Who all look the same. I reckon they get the bloody things mail order.

(Oh, and I fell in lust with a bassist - who, arrys_girlie thinks, looks like my beloved Dirk! She actually has a point...)

AND I've just posted another chapter of Journeyman. Am now on the last one, the epilogue being nine tenths written already. The damn thing laid dormant for a year then, with a good poke from rdyfrde, arrys_girlie and some fairly constant quiet under-the-table nagging from rockfic took off like a sodding rocket and won't shut up.

Can't wait to get it finished. And then never look at the flippin' thing again!

Best of all? Off to part-ay with rathenar tomorrow after work! Gonna be fun. Gonna stay on the boat. Gonna get very lost driving round Cambridge in the fog....

And now I'm knackered, so goodnight y'all.

In other news, I've finally finished one of the two het pieces that was begun for the anniversary challenge! evaine, it's all your fault - you gave me the bunny in the first place! I'm pretty pleased with the result though. And I'm also pleased (if rather startled) that I seem to be such a productive little carrot at the moment.

I must be avoiding something ;)

And now I am going back to dribbling at Fred's stash...!

Well now. Trying to update my Lj account, descriptions and crap and as well as adding some stuff to my interests list I added my old secondary school. I was astounded to discover that it was here on LJ...also had a mooch to a couple of journals associated with it and left a comment on the one that didn't seem to belong to a fourteen year old. (*Waves to tech_pirate)( This and that and ramblings... )

OK. On the run up to another week of night shifts, which should be exciting as they're now thirteen hours long. Expect long whingey posts beginning, oh, thursday or so...

Mrs B__'s funeral today, but Tom went to a great new home on sunday with a retired couple, so he's well taken care of.

Got jumped by a great evil bunny and have started yet another epic fic. This one is going to be huge; chapter one (which is the introduction, really, rather than a chapter in its own right) is 4771 words, but chapter two is a whopping 10 258! It has the feel of a biggie. Much as Legend did. Still, it'll give me something to fiddle with in the wee small hours of the morning next week.

And that's it really. Oh, except that I feel much better about squeeing over being published now that other people are squeeing too!

Second all nighter pulled writing with arrys_girlie! My god, I'm too old for this - but I'm getting a heck of a lot done, which feels good.

And damn, but she's coming up with some hot smut - while I, like a bloody fool, have decided to indulge myself in playing with someone elses characters. Fanfic of fanfic, if you like. Still Maiden AU - and yes, I know I said I wanted to branch out a bit, hush - but based on her fic Blood Brothers.

I still don't know if it'll be good enough to post. Correction; I don't know if it will pass my own very high standards well enough to post.

But it's fun to do, and it doesn't have Eddie in it. Hers does, though.
