Why am I up at...let me see...the clock on the 'puter says it's 04:33.
Well. I got up for a pee (sorry if it's TMI, but I have to get up three or four times every night) and Pepsi heard me and yelled so I came down and let her out. Didn't feel like going back to bed. Thought I'd have a mooch around my usual haunts and see what was happening.
Just been out in the garden. It's nice out there; a cool morning, everything painted in soft blues and greys and greens; because it's stupid early on the weekend the motorway and A34 are quiet and you can hear the birds singing. Funny how you don't notice the white noise in the background usually.
Looks like the blocking Pepsi's view thing is working; her bed is dry. It seems that she's been seeing the cats strolling past the crate and getting so agitated about it that she wet herself. Poor dog.
I think...I think I might try and write some now.
Today begins beautifully, doesn't it?

Date: 2005-07-02 09:21 am (UTC)Once I helped a friend with renovating her apartment which was in a not yet lived-in house and we worked until two or three in the morning. When I finally left I stood outside on the street and for a moment thought I'd gone deaf: there was not a single sound. No birds, no cars, not even the air was moving. It was total silence, the world was asleep. That was amazing.
I'm glad you found a solution for Pepsi's wetting problem.
