Well.

After a two year dry spell I have completed a fic. Two, in fact.

I'm a little embarrassed to admit that they're based around a computer role playing game called Dragon Age: Origins, which Slay bought when he got his PS3 as an early christmas present... but who can fail to love a game that has canon slash as part of the storyline? Yes, your male character can have sex with other characters, male, female, threesomes... all quite tame stuff as slash goes (the cut scenes are quite sweet, in a slightly hysterical way; all the characters keep their underwear on...).

Point is, it's there.

And while watching Slay play - his elven mage standing hipshot, folded arms, head cocked to look up into the face of one of his warrior companion - I snuck a peek at that part of my brain that used to come up with all the stories. It's been in the bath for the some time now, naught but humming and splashing and bubbles all to be seen in the place where once the magic happened.

This time, there was an empty tub, a sadly abandoned rubber duck, and a trail of wet footprints leading toward a door marked 'ideas'.

So!

The first can be found here, and is called Tomorrows Song. Here be slash. And oh, but it was so much fun to write!

Rambles like a bugger, tho.

The second is a drabble, Wardens Regret.

Heh. Bizarre.

Enjoyed both. And as always, you write well enough that your story transcends its origins. Knowing nothing about Dragon Age, still the stories spoke to me.

I hope you write more! Thank you for sharing.

Very cool. Both were great. Though admittedly I like the hotness of Tommorow's Song a bit more but they're both really good stories :)

I'll read later but I'm so happy you found your writing chops! Now if mine could only be located. *sigh*

Thanks Joolz! It'll come. It's just a case of finding the right inspiration, it turns out...

YAY! Glad to see you're writing again! Admittedly, slash isn't my cup of tea (not against, mind, just not into that much) but this was HAWT. *fans self*

*Bounce* Cheers lovey! Slash kind of sneaks up on you like that; when I started writing I didn't think I would ever be able to do it. HA! :D
