Worked a lot. Very tired. Making me rather grumpy.

Short overview:

- Chris gave me the subadult Kenyan sand boa I'd been admiring for weeks. As no bugger else wanted him and I'd given him a name and all (he's called George). Called him an early birthday present. I was delighted.

- Sand boa not really thriving in new home. Totally par for the fucking course when it comes to my skills with ophidians.

- Everybody seems to think I'm a nutter for doing two jobs. That's as may be, but would anyone who thinks I am a nutter please make up their fucking minds? One minute I'm a freaking parasite, the next I'm risking my pwecious health.

- I am irritable.

- After the next two days I don't get another day off for three weeks. Possibly more. *Gulp*

- Write? Are you nuts?

- Very irritable indeed.

My two cents on two jobs [brought to you by the boy who all but lost a friend due to two jobs] [yeah, I'm bitter] [sue me]: It pays the bills and that's all well and good, but it also leaves you tired, burned out, understandably overworked, and it all but eradicates you from the lives of others because, well, you're either working or face down on a bed because all that work left you so tired.

Hang in there is all I can say. It's your life so it's not my place to tell you how to run it. Just as long as you don't kill yourself, literally or figuratively, I'm a happy camper :)
