Still very very slightly hungover.
However.
Slay (he had a day off today) made me a bacon sandwich when I woke up around midday, and after copious tea and many painkillers I dragged my sorry arse into Banbury. I wanted to buy some new underwear, hair dye and arty-farty stuff but--
M&S was full of idiots, Superdrug only do boring colours these days so scrap the first two and head for the art shop. They're having a sale, so I bought two honking great canvases (34" x 40"), some acrylic paints and some new brushes, being as my old ones are dead as doornails.
And an easel. I've never had a proper easel before. It rawks.
Anyway, Jon and I are working on a little project to brighten the studio up which we'll implement while Chris is on holiday. hence me buying two canvases - one to screw up re-learning everything I've forgotten about painting over the years, and one for the 'final' piece!
Slay's out tonight, so I foresee a bit of a snooze on the sofa followed by a mad attack on the painting... wish me luck, y'all!

Date: 2006-09-28 05:53 pm (UTC)Re. the hair dye...I've found that going into the Very Pose-y Goffik type shops tends to lead to fun shades of hair dye. They had a tiny shop in Sheffield that seemd to have every colour under the sun!

Date: 2006-09-28 08:02 pm (UTC)Mind you, my driving instructor seemed to imply that he expects me to get through my tests fairly swiftly, so maybe I could pop along after school some point when I've got my driving licence... Yay! yet another reason for finally getting my tests out of the way!
And yay for bacon butties to aid hangover-recovery!
At some point I might post something in my journal, instead of just rabbitting in comments to yours...
