The Daith.



Pain level: 8 (out of, oh I dunno, 5.) (OK, 10.)

Hanging out with a bored piercer and a boss with a sharp sense of humour causes Actual Bodily Harm.

(They're trying to figure out what to give me next. I'm considering moving to Timbuktu.)

A mere four - conch, tragus, rook and daith. As for the rim, I suspect it won't be too painful at all, provided you get a good piercer. For several reasons, not least being that it's in an area where the needle/canula/blade (depending what they pierce with) can go through quickly and smoothly.

You have to dig a bit for the daith, which smarts.

So... I'd say that the rim wouldn't be too painful at all.

And yes, they love hearing me screech. Unfortunately the rook and daith have been so bloody painful that silence was not an option!!!!

Fierce? Heh, yeah, but only because if anybody asks me why I have so many holes in my ears I'm going to throttle them!!!

I'll also probably set off every airport metal detector between here and Timbuktu!

What the hell is one that's sort of close to the head, where the ear comes out of head? Was looking at pictures and was sorta curious as to what the hell it's called. (If ah, the picture will help more, lemme know.)

There is... a word... for every piece of ear that can possibly be pierced? *trying to get head around the idea*

What is it called when the fleshy piece of skin between your thumb and your index finger is pierced? I've seen that on someone...

That's a web piercing. But it's bloody inconvenient if you do any sort of manual work (or have to put latex gloves on a lot!), often rejects, and is tremendously painful.

It does look cool, tho....
