Why will my Windows media player not play .avi files?! Bastard thing. If anyone has any advice - short of throwing the damn computer out of the goddamn window - it will be gratefully received.

In other news:

Heard on the radio this morning that two cows in Wales have died from anthrax. (Naturally occurring - it does crop up from time to time.) Stupid interviewer asked scientific-type person if there was any danger to humans. Only if you come into contact with the dead animal's body fluids, said scientific person.

So if you're in Wales and come across any dead cows, no exchanging bodily fluids, OK?

You might be missing a codec. My WMP plays .avi's just fine, but then, I have like... 270394720374 codecs.

Toss the WMP and get a VLC player. They play anything without any problems :)
