Back of the arms? No fun at all. One hour. Wot a wuss. However, I do now have the outlines of three more pumpkins, one of which is part shaded - because at that point my skin stopped accepting ink. So we gave up. Give it a week or two, I'll be back....

Date: 2006-03-09 04:34 pm (UTC)And also, I have a proposal for you. How would you feel about a cross-Europe road (or more probably, rail) trip with a Maiden gig at the end of it? ^_^

Date: 2006-03-09 04:49 pm (UTC)And, well, the original idea went kind of like this:
Me: Maiden are touring in December! Come see them with me!
BF: Yes! Wanna! Where?
Me: I dunno, but I'm bored of Earl's Court, so not London... one of the other ones. [me thinking Birmingham or something, of course]
BF: Spain! Or somewhere else in Europe!
Me: WTF? *pauses* *thinks* ...fuck, why not? ^_^
So we're going to decide where we want to wind up, get tickets, and go out by Eurostar and cross-country rail. Length and itinerary of trip TBC, it's just an idea right now, but as the Post Office say, I Thought Of You. Since I've been wanting to meet you IRL for ages, and we didn't actually know to say hello to each other on Flight 666 and all. ;)

Date: 2006-03-09 04:42 pm (UTC)This is going to be a rather long project...and an expensive one! (That reminds me - must find a way of getting my skin preserved post mortem...be a shame to burn all that art....)

Date: 2006-03-09 04:52 pm (UTC)Maybe the talismanic presence of all those Eddies will ward off death/decay indefinitely, if you're lucky. ;)
I have to say I'd never thought about that before, but you're right. Having your tattoos tanned and kept when you die would be awesome, if you could find someoe willing to do it. Good luck!

Date: 2006-03-09 05:49 pm (UTC)Not to be totally stoopid, but what's "darkside stuff"?

Now that, if you can see it, is a classic example of darkside. It's usually done freehand - yup, you let the artist loose on you to draw and colour you in without a safety net!!!! The term really describes artwork that isn't traditional, isn't Japanese, but is along the lines of Giger's biomechanical work.

Date: 2006-03-09 11:34 pm (UTC)How bad does the back of the shoulder feel? Like where you have the Eddie playing the bass at...actually the shoulder blade more like it.

Date: 2006-03-10 07:24 am (UTC)Plus of course, the average 'girly' tattoo takes about 20 minutes - the stuff I've had done takes hours at a time...!
But yeah, it depends. A quick way to check is to pinch the area; then compare it to pinching the area on the outside of the upper arm. That gives you a rough indicator.

Date: 2006-03-10 05:00 pm (UTC)Mom got hers there, where I'm wanting mine, and she's said roughly the same thing.
I like your stuff better than the average "girly" tatt. *grins*
