Humbuggery!

Not going to do the writing meme for 2008, because it would be a waste of time; as 2006 was the Year Of The Epic, and 2007 was the Year Of The Drabble, then 2008 was the Year I Didn't Write.
Meh. Whatever. I'd love to write again but I can't see it happening as long as drawing/tattooing is eating my creative capacity whole.
So in lieu of all that, I'll nick this meme from Fred and Rick.
01. My uncle once: claimed that quitting smoking gave him lung cancer. He quit, he started coughing, they diagnosed lung cancer, he died.
02. Never in my life: have I ever actually felt to be a part of whatever hive-mind 'normal' people are.
03. When I was five: I was taken to the Natural History Museum in London, and startled a curator by correctly naming half a dozen different species of dinosaur.
04. High school was: Hell.
05. I will never forget: how bloody wonderful it feels to be in love.
06. Once I met: Bruce Dickinson... the first BruceAir trip, and I got a great big grin and a very warm hug. *Polishes happy memory*
07. There’s this girl I know: whose parents have driven her to despair, and I'll be damned if I'll let her sink.
08. Once, at a bar: a drunk Russian tried to drag me into the gents toilet. He failed. ;)
09. By noon: I'm usually angry about something.
10. Last night: I sat up late reading old fics and feeling nostalgic for writing.
11. If only I had: a bit more bloody confidence in myself!
12. Next time I go to church: it'll be after trying desperately to get out of it.
13. What worries me most: is everything. Ha! No, what worries me most is that I'll screw up the tattooing gig. I try to stay positive, though.
14. When I turn my head left I see: a black cat fast asleep next to me on the sofa, flat on his back with all four legs in the air, snoring gently.
15. When I turn my head right I see: my mobile, my e-cig, an empty cup of tea, a pile of sketchbooks.
16. You know I’m telling the truth when: honestly? Like H, if I can't be truthful I much prefer to say nothing at all.
17. What I miss most about the Eighties is: the music, the fashion (rockstars in tight leather jeans with lace up crotches FTW), being a teenager and having the world opening up before me. Course, if I went back now, I'd have a hell of a lot more fun than I did then! AIDS bedamned, I'd have screwed my way round as many rock bands as I could and bulled my way into the tattoo trade a lot fucking sooner than I did!
18. If I were a character in Shakespeare I’d be: someone in the background.
19. If I ever go back to school: it'll mean I've failed again and am trying to do something else and I really, really don't want that to happen. I really don't know if I've got it in me to start all over again!
I will stay positive, I will not give in, I will survive the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune.
So there. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it, 2009.
