I understand your despair, Andy, and I would be feeling exactly the same way, were it me. However, this was NOT your fault. You're one of the most loving, conscientious animal mommies I've ever had the privilege to know. Don't be too hard on yourself for what was clearly a "live and learn" episode. I'm sure Sam will be okay, ultimately.
