I've been pretty much forcing myself to write something every day so I can finish my story. Otherwise it will just sit there and I'll think of excuses to not write. You know full well how I can get so I guess that's my only advice: just write whatever. It can be a poem or a limric or something else. Or maybe pick a subject and writing a couple paragraphs about it? That's what I had to do in college and it always helped me focus more on writing.
