No Gamma Ray.
It was their only date in the UK and it's been cancelled. I got an e-mail a week ago telling me that the tickets had been dispatched and today this. Fuck! My last chance to see them before they go back in the studio to record their next album (and no I am not going to fucking Australia, fuck that) and what happens?
The bastard bozos organising the festival haven't sold enough tickets so boom, no festival. Haven't sold enough tickets and the costs have increased, apparently....
It all sounds horribly fishy. I'm lucky - unlike the last time I missed them, I haven't got flights booked that I'm going to lose the money on. A lot of other people have, not to mention deposits and payments made on hotels that are non-refundable. For once my procrastination has saved me money....
But I am very, very pissed off about this. So pissed off that I am going to...

Oh well. Have a nice long soak in the bath and a bit of a fume, and go back to enjoying life, I suppose. But next tour I am going to do half a dozen dates, I will eventually see them live and chase Dirk around a hotel bar (somewhere), but I will be damned if I will ever give the benefit of the doubt to this benighted bunch of wankers again, should they ever try to organise another beano.
So I'm going to look at the Dirk live pictures in Fred's stash and sulk. If anyone needs me, I'll be the blubbering heap in the corner!
