Ow. *Grin*

More ink today. A nice short session, just an hour getting the pumpkins (down,
silicondreams) coloured in. Give it a couple of weeks and I'll get the ones on my right arm done, then one more session getting the stuff on the left all tied together and then that's me set for the summer, I think. Time to save up till the autumn!
Went very well, chatted to Jon while he was working on me - he said 'when are you bringing me some metal girls to get inked, then?'
I think he's a bit sick of doing butterflies on girlie girls. Heh.
But there's something to be said for externalising the pain... and having something concrete to see afterwards. That's prettier than a scar, anyway.
It's now been a little more than a year since I had my first big tattoo. In that year I've felt more positive about my body than I ever have before, begun to take charge of my life and get it moving in a direction I think I may, at last, be happy with. It remains to see what will happen, but I'm definitely going in the right direction.
Oh, and Jon wants me to come and watch him and the boys wrestling - we shall see about that, too. Although he is apparently making plans for my full sleeves; he thinks that a male/female contrast would be good, all darkside stuff, natch. Female vampires and slinky Bad Girls on one arm, male demons and whatnot on the other.
I like that idea.
Not only a representation of the essential war between the male and female halves of my soul, the weird way that I seem to express them both and have become somewhat stuck between them - but damn cool scary artwork too. He's also determined to do eyeballs on the inside of my elbows, that being rather a trademark of his. Owch.
Of course, there'll be more Eddies; I want them on the underside of my forearms, as well as a couple of the Dark Ride pumpkins, probably on the curve of my elbows or making the join between the top of my arms and the darkside stuff underneath.
Course, now all I have to do is get a job where nobody's going to mind full sleeves or make the writing pay sufficiently to do it full time!
Mmm. A little lie down is in order now, I feel. Catch you later...
