New ink!
So here's my newest.
Position: right arm, below the elbow.
Pain level: 6 (Lots of sodding linework, so even the shading was more ouchy than usual.)

Good innit? It's the Majestic cover without the background....
So, today was my last shift with I__, the boss. And owner of the practice, as his missus reminds us. Now, I like I__ a lot. I got on with him well when I was a client, I've always got on with him well as a nurse - and we had a big op today, a tibial crest transposition.
I'm glad I got to do it with him. We took the piss out of each other, worked smoothly together and got the patient through with the minimum trauma. We make a good team, and I'll miss that.
When I left, I stuck my head round his consult room door and said, well boss, this is it. It's been real, OK?
He hugged me.
He isn't a touchy-feely sort, and neither am I. And for him to break his own taboos enough to give me a real, honest-to-goodness hug was--
I got a bit choked up, tell you the truth.
Yeah, there are a lot of things I'll miss - and he's going to be one of them. Well. Mostly. *Chuckle* Because my god but he can be a primadonna when he puts his Cambridge educated mind to it!!!
But he rates me as a nurse and he said it won't be the same without me and he'll miss me and, funnily enough, I believe him. Heh.

Glad you had a good last day as a vet nurse, as well.
