It's friggin' awful live. I don't mind it too much on the studio albums but on the DVDs is the worst.

Ah, laughing Rick Allen! That's such a great expression he has.

Plus... I heartily dislike the BeeGees, I'm afraid. Not only does their music do absolutely nothing for me, but Robin Gibb used to almost mow me down on a regular basis when I cycled to school. Kind of soured me on him.

Well... this was embarrassing. Hurt a little, a bit... a lot. [sigh] I spent an entire hour dealing with the embarrassment that turned into anger that turned right back into embarrassment. I'll spare you all the bothersome details. The one thought I do want to voice is:

Is this why you didn't read my Reluctant I story...? I know I'm not gonna make you like this band [I knew, in a way, that if anybody really hated them it was gonna be you] [and God I hope no one jumps in now to say, "Me too"] [cringe], but I hope you'll be able to read the story as a piece of fiction? Forget it's the Gibbs. It's likely all wrong, anyway. I mean, what do I know about any of these people? I knew fuck all about Rick Allen, really. All I did was take off from an initial inspiration. So, I... um, hope you won't stop reading because I'm writing about the Bee Gees. I know it's... weird. I suspect most Rockfickers are not exactly happy with my current "fandom" [not a big fan of that term]. But I'm also not happy at the thought that from here on no one will read what I write simply because of the band I'm writing about. And maybe that's not why few people seemed to care, maybe it was just the nature of LJ, where one's post gets buried under several other posts within minutes, if not seconds. Maybe I'm just so unnecessarily embarrassed by the whole thing that I'm reading everything wrong. I just... this comment made me even more embarrassed. And at first I thought I'd go the route of "Leave it, just don't reply. Doesn't like 'em, no biggie." But it kept eating away at me. So I'm saying something. Because... because I'm dumb, mostly. I really should've said nothing at all, huh...?

But then that wouldn't be me.
